When we go to the supermarket, the vast majority of products are already packaged, whether it’s rice, flour, pasta or even nuts.
It’s convenient for the consumer because all they have to do is choose the (packaged) product, put it in the trolley, carry the packaging in a reusable bag and take it home.
When we get home, our main concern is putting the food products away in the kitchen pantry or fridge.
Using glass jars to store food is a great alternative for organizing the pantry and eliminating the storage of plastic and/or cardboard packaging, which passes through several places before being placed on supermarket shelves and is exposed to several people. Thus, we can choose to transfer the food from the packaging to a glass jar, in order to guarantee better storage of our products and organization of the pantry/cabinets and avoid contamination. Another benefit of storing our products in glass jars is that we can buy products in bulk and easily see how much there is left.
And instead of buying, we can always reuse the glass jars, and they also have their advantages, such as:
More visually appealing;
Easier to keep organized;
Allows you to check if the food is almost finished, making it easier to make your monthly shopping list;
Allows you to check the condition of the food throughout its conservation;
More ecological, especially if the jars are reused;
Best solution for storing food in bulk;
Versatile, can be used for food, cleaning products and more;
Does not alter the taste of food;
Does not absorb food odors;
Does not release toxic substances.
As they do not interact with the product, drinks and food placed in glass containers can be heated and chilled without risk of contamination.
